Iman Humaydan

Iman Humaydan / إيمان حميدان is a Lebanese novelist and researcher interested in women’s voices, memory, identity and post-war issues. She has authored four novels, all of which have been translated internationally. Her last novel, khamsouna ghraman mena al janna (Weight of Paradise), won the Katara Prize in 2016. The French translation was shortlisted for the Literary Prize of the Arab World Institute in Paris. She is co-founder of PEN Lebanon and has been president since 2015. She has also edited and published several volumes including Beirut Noir, a short story collection. She is currently writing her fifth novel and lives between Beirut and Paris.
