Anastasia Matar was born in Ukraine, where she lived until moving with her family to Lebanon. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design at the American University of Beirut. During the course of her degree, she developed an interest in the visual depiction of human intimacy. Her black and white photographs further explore this theme.
