Fatima Joumaa is a filmmaker and photographer from South Lebanon. She holds a degree in Audiovisual Studies from USJ-IESAV and a Master’s in Cinema from the Lebanese University, where she researched representations of the 2006 July War in video essays. Trained in documentary filmmaking at La Fémis, she explores collective memory, mourning, and the politics of representation in South Lebanon. Her films, photographs, and video essays have been widely exhibited and published. She also founded Shathaya, a workshop for women creating visual narratives that challenge dominant depictions of war

فاطمة جمعة، صانعة أفلام ومصورة من جنوب لبنان. تخرّجت من جامعة القديس يوسف – في الدراسات السمعية البصرية، وتابعت تدريبها الوثائقي في مدرسة «لافيميس» في باريس. كما حازت على شهادة الماجستير في السينما من الجامعة اللبنانية، حيث ركّز بحثها على تمثيل حرب تموز 2006 في المقالات البصرية. تهتمّ فاطمة بكيفيّة بدور الحداد في تشكيل الذاكرة الجماعية، وسياسات التمثيل. ترتبط ممارستها الفنية بتاريخ الجنوب اللبناني. أطلقت ورشة «شظايا»، تهدف هذه الورشة إلى خلق مساحة نسائية تشاركية لإعادة التفكير في فعل الرؤية وصولًا إلى إنتاج عمل فردي لكل مشاركة.
