Amal is an Interior designer, dollmaker, and crochet teacher from Tripoli. Trained in interior design, she rediscovered knitting during Lebanon’s crisis and was drawn to amigurumi. In 2020, she launched Klekish, where she shared her handmade dolls and the quiet stories they carry. She’s deeply inspired by oral heritage, traditional storytelling, and the streets of Tripoli, which she photographs during her walks. Amal seeks to bring comfort through her work — in thread, in story, and in presence.

Mariam Al Kotob is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in illustration and visual storytelling. Her work often explores personal narratives and the quiet connections that link people to one another and to the spaces they inhabit. Raised between Beirut and Tripoli, and currently based in Tripoli, she holds a deep, often conflicting, emotional connection to both cities.
