Arundhati Roy

Arundhati Roy is the author of The God of Small Things, which won the 1997 Booker Prize and has been translated into more than forty languages, the novel The Ministry of Utmost Happiness, and over twenty books of nonfiction. She has received several awards in recognition of her unflinching political activism for environmental and human rights causes addressing international issues as well as the problems faced by her homeland in the age of global capitalism. She lives and works in India.
