Shawki Youssef

Shawki Youssef is a Lebanese artist living and working in Beirut. He was born in Baalbek in 1973, went back to his home in Nahrieh, Akkar in 1975, and came to Beirut with the Syrian "Liberation" Army in 1990. He was self taught at the Lebanese University and earned his masters from Saint Joseph University of Beirut. He teaches at the American University of Beirut, Académie Libanaise des Beaux Arts, and the Lebanese American University. He is represented by Saleh Barakat Gallery.
